I’m always interested in activist groups. I perceive them as a way of expression, better yet, an individual variation of art. From an early age, I have been exposed to the knowledge of contribution and how to help others could be incredibly influential in public opinion.

I’m working on a project called, "Project Once." This project is meant to be a non-profit organization in the creative field, who wish to inspire and magnify the importance of the arts in low-income communities.

There is where the arts are far from the inhabitant's grasp. Through education, Project Once will incite in young minds an interest in visual arts by developing their skills in video, photography, and design.

This organization is looking to address two main problems. First, give the students a broader access to the internet. The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has shown that only a 45% of The Dominican Republic population has access to internet connection. This internet access is going to open the door to contribute to the solution to the second problem, which is the lack of access to tools that would brunet their knowledge in to suggest other than the traditional, math, literature, etc.

Also, part of the solution would involve parents in the process. Art can be incorporated across the curriculum and can also be encouraged as a family activity. Parents are valuable resources for facilitating learning. We often hear parents become excited about their children's art and chat about how charming it is. "Oh, my! What a lovely picture!" As educators, we can assist parents to become more informed of the value of visual arts.

Art activities include processes as well as results. It is the process of doing visual arts that are so critical to learning. While parents tend to focus on the result, instructors can call attention to the process.

As The colors of learning: Integrating the visual arts into the early childhood curriculum (2003) defined, visual arts are such amazing teaching tools to create public opinion. It incites and excites children's thoughts in an ope

n-ended game that develops Cognitive, Social, Emotional and Sensori-Motor skills. Visual arts are collaborative learning activities that provide pleasure, challenge, and a sense of power. Guidance in the visual arts is one of the best ways in which to involve the diverse modes of learning; through visual arts, children learn complex thinking skills and control developmental tasks. Child development is a constant process: Children progress from simple to complex abilities. Visual arts activities provide children with tactile learning experiences they can master at their rate. Art techniques range from the simplest to the most complex.
